on Jun 14th, 2007Lime cream fruit dip
When I had sour cream left over from the dark chocolate cupcakes, I made this simple dip but didn’t post the recipe because I felt it was too simple. Last night, when I picked up another lime and some more sour cream to make it again, I realized I should share it because I can’t remember the last time I made something twice in one week. It’s a really good accompaniment to all the fruits of the season.
The recipe is from Land o’ Lakes which, of course, makes sour cream.
Lime Cream Fruit Dip
Yield: 1 cup
1 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
2 teaspoons freshly grated lime peel
Stir together all ingredients in small bowl. Cover; refrigerate at least 30 minutes. Serve with fresh fruit.
Orange Cream Fruit Dip: Substitute orange peel and orange juice for lime peel and lime juice.
