Perhaps it was only a matter of time, but Republican Senate support for Bush’s war policies began to erode this week. It reminded me, albeit in a much less dramatic way, of Richard Nixon’s crumbling support among GOP senators in the summer of 1974.

With Independence Day imminent, Jimmy Margulies nailed it in the New Jersey Record .
