Remember those “What I did on my summer vacation” essays from grade school? Idaho Republican Larry Craig’s would be short: I resigned my Senate seat after a sex sting in an airport men’s room.
If you’ve wondered what on earth was he thinking — other than not getting caught – John Cole of the Scranton Times-Tribune offered one possible (and stinging!) explanation on Friday.
9/26 Update: Craig is back in the Senate. His first order of business? Voting against a bill to protect gays and other victims of hate crimes. Look up “hypocrite” in the dictionary and you’ll find his picture.
