Menu for Hope helps the hungryEvery year for two weeks, food bloggers around the world lend their support to Menu for Hope, a fundraiser for the UN World Food Program. It’s a raffle, $10 per entry, with fabulous international prizes — your choice — ranging from culinary instruction and special dining experiences to high-end cookware and signed cookbooks. I want to win the lunch with food scientist Harold McGee.

This year’s beneficiary is a school lunch program in Lesotho, considered a model of local procurement, buying from local farmers to feed the children.

Details at chez pim, the blog which sponsors the event.

You can still help the World Food Program for free by playing the vocabulary game at Free Rice.
