Merry and Happy

December 25, 2007

in Miscellany, fun stuff

Christmas and New Year, that is. I hope your holidays are filled with love and joy…and cookies.

Like many of you, I’m taking the week off so I’ll see you then and leave you in the hands of that French chick with a ‘tude.

Cute image! Not sure it’ll be fruit cake but I’m definitely going to have a few cookies…

Merry Christmas and best wishes for the new year. :)

Ooh, Ella! You better get over here fast. It’s snowing and I know how you love the snow. Wonderful! ♥

Thanks everyone and same to you!

The good thing about blog snow is it doesn’t last long. In fact, it’ll be gone tomorrow. ;)

Merry Christmas Ella! Happy happy days off. :-)

The Only Thing I Want For Christmas

If Santa passes by my stocking, I promise not to mind a lot
The only thing I want for Christmas is just to keep the things that I’ve got

A pair of loving arms around me, a garden of forget-me-nots
The only thing I want for Christmas is just to keep the things that I’ve got

A friend or two, a peaceful sky of blue,
a place to hang my hat when work of day is through,

If Santa passes by my chimney, I’ll still be happy, like as not
The only thing I want for Christmas is just to keep the things that I’ve got…

Hi, sage! Merry Christmas to you too!

What great lyrics – and a fine sentiment. (I assume the extra inch on my waist is exempt from keeping the things I’ve got? :) )

I’ll definitely check out that post. ETA: That’s a fabulous post! Thanks!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!

You’re selfhosted now! How much work was that?

Oh, don’t ask. I just flipped the switch a few hours ago and it’s not over yet. But in a few days the dust should settle.

Happy New Year to you too — my first commenter in the new home.

Definitely feel special now and will do in a few years when this is so popular and I can say I was here first! :)

Your url has changed as well?

I only wish this theme had avatars so my first’s cute kitty would show up!

Same url, but I’m still using the mirrored domain I set up things on. When I disabled it, right after the repointing took effect, there was still nothing at the real url. The message said it could take a day or so, so I’ll be patient.

Fun widgets, huh?

Ah, not using the cat at the moment. Just figure out how to change the avatar a bit, especially as I don’t like blue and the background is blue!

I’m liking the ‘New Recipes’ widget. But that could be related to it just displaying cheesecake which I love!

I used to have the New Recipes in an RSS feed but it only displayed two titles and wasn’t nearly as tempting. Those hazelnut cookies have my name on them.

How I can even think of cookies after the holidays is just beyond me.
