CLICK TO ENLARGE Everyone is Irish on St. Patrick's Day, including Barack O'bama! As the graphic proves, everyone can be Irish today. Americans of all ethnicities are making corned beef and cabbage for St. Patrick’s Day, even though it’s not an Irish thing at all.

What?

Well, if you weren’t around last year at this time — and you probably were not, as this blog was only a couple days old — you missed my post called Corned Beef - As American as Apple Pie, which you can enjoy now and learn the truth.

If nothing else, do check out a myth-shattering little poem I linked to called Good Grief, Not Beef. You can find it here, and if it asks for a password just click Cancel and you should be fine. Scroll down for it.

Bottom line is this Irish-American is having fresh, not corned, brisket in the slow cooker today with some spuds on the side. They are in my blood.

As for O’bama, why not? Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

Love the button — my husband always calls Obama “that Irish guy”. Well, I did not make CB&C today but I did have a corned beef sandwich on an onion roll. Does that count?
