on May 25th, 2008You and your fridge
Sometimes when I clean out the fridge I feel like Magellan: I know where I am, but occasionally wonder what on earth is that in front of me. It’s a long weekend with time to take a short quiz to find out what the contents of your refrigerator say about you. In my case, I’m neither married nor always together and adult, but other than that it’s pretty close. Enjoy! I’ll see you Tuesday.

You like to be surrounded by things you love. You aren’t exactly greedy, but you can be materialistic at times.
(BD - The first sentence is true. The second? I’d like to think not. I try not to be but one time a family member mentioned how much she loved an antique mirror we have and he told her she could have it! Not a chance. So there are some things I will not part with. We did give her a painting though)
You are a very thrifty person. You don’t like to waste money… or food.
(Very true)
You are a very adventurous person. You love to try new things, and you get bored very easily.
(Very true)
You are responsible, together, and mature. You act like an adult, even when you don’t feel like it.
(True, I do ACT like an adult (in the real world) at all times, but have been trying to “lighten up” for years now.)
You are likely to be married - and very busy.
(True. Very Busy? I should be but put off many things so I can do what I want)
Thanks Ella. You might be surprised to know my husband and I are really into cooking. It’s not unusual for us to spend an hour to prepare our meals. We try new recipes all the time. Usually make our own condiments and sauces. When we know we will be busy one week, we’ll make our own frozen meals on a week-end, so we don’t have to buy prepared food.

Hi, bead - Isn’t it amazing how often these little quizzes come so close?
I’m not at all surprised you’re into cooking; you’re so creative and your beadwork is gorgeous, so creating in another medium (that’s all food is) seems natural. You two sound very much like Mr. Knife Skills and me. I find cooking to be so soothing and relaxing; we love chopping and doing prep work together and we, too, have make-ahead Sundays, mostly in cold weather. And both of us would rather chew tacks than waste food.
Any time you’d like to share a sauce or condiment recipe…
The ones I’ve posted are in the category Misc and I believe their tag is called dressings/sauces. It’s whatever tag is on the razzie vinaigrette.
Thanks for taking the quiz and letting us get to know you better!

You tend to be a fairly thrifty person. You splurge occasionally, but you’re mostly a saver.
You don’t tend to be a very adventurous person, but you do surprise everyone now and then. You have a bit of a wild side.
You try to be responsible, but you don’t always succeed. Your heart is in the right place though.
You are likely single - and a workaholic.”
Hmmm. Looking at yours and bead’s results so far, it appears that the quiz returns one answer for each of the five questions asked. Based on that, I would say that this is about 85% correct for me.

Hi, Muse! Now what did you say that made it come up single for you? And workaholic…both of which describe me.
85% for a quick quiz is pretty good in my book - I only wish I knew how they do it.
Oh, fine. Just because I keep the gin in the freezer it calls me an alcoholic. Well, and the Campari. And the Vodka. And the JD…
You don’t need a lot of stuff to be happy. There isn’t a greedy bone in your body.

Well, pretty much sums me up, except for the maturity part.
I enthusiastically embrace my inner child.
Thanks!

Some days my inner child’s not far away either.
i got the same results as you… i think if i have my own fridge, i’d stock it up with lots of stuff cos i’m usually quite lazy to go out for food, unless i have company.
