Thanks for the tip, Sue. We're all so busy that every bit of streamlining is welcome!

Save yourselves a step...don't bother with soaking overnight...just put all of the ingredients into your corock pot so that there is about an inc and a half of water over the beans and let them cook a couple hours longer in the crock pot...just as tasty and absorbs more of the seasoning flavors.

Hi, nanny - I don't know how I missed your comment. Yikes, I'm sorry. I'm glad you found the recipe in time. My apologies again for missing you.

And hello John - a fair number of my readers are men who are learning to cook or to cook healthier, so it's good to hear from you. I have a lot of easy recipes here that taste as if they required a lot of work -- put Juan's Chicken in the search box for one that's especially good.

I'm glad you liked the beans and I hope to see you again!

Thanx so much for this recipe! I recently moved out on my own and cooking was something that kind of scared me, as a man. Now I feel more confident in abilities, so thanx again. Simple, great tasting recipe!

Thanks so much. I haven't been able to find the right brand of beans anymore that has this recipe on the bag. I have the beans but not the recipe. I need to make these for my granddaughter's birthday Sunday and I found this recipe just in time.
