I believe he said it three times and at first I just chalked it up to campaignspeak, even though he's admitted economics isn't his strong suit. But when it took days -- and Congressional leaders hearing the word "collapse" in that first night time meeting -- for him to either grasp or admit the severity, I knew he wasn't just trying to sound reassuring. But then he and Palin went on to redefine fundamentals to mean the American workers and it just made them look inept.
