That was one of the most fantastic nights of my life! I am once again, filled with hope and the energy to work towards a better future. I feel like the sleep meds have worn off.

It was a glorious night…. and the champagne went down easily.

You did it America. I am so proud to call myself an American AGAIN.

Now I’d better get to making those Ella Truffles…. so my husband can take them to work. We are calling them Obama Truffles! Sweet, comforting, and good for you too!

Thank you all!

w000000t!
And may I commend you, ella, on your excellent blogging and reporting throughout the primary and election season! It was a long, long, election; I’m glad it’s over, and I’m still getting shivers and tears.

Sweet words, ella. :) And sweet it is, to look forward!

Congratulations, indeed. I loved his speech, he hit it just so exactly right.

I was so lightheaded, I think I spent most of the evening forgetting to breathe; it didn’t completely register until this morning. Colin Powell on one of the morning shows, visibly emotional and bursting with pride and optimism, reduced me to a bawling mess. lol

Another clip showed a group somewhere, pot-banging in celebration just as if it was New Year’s Eve, and I cried again for b and all the others that are gone from us too soon.

A big round of applause for you, too. From Scratch is a true gift you share with us.
Thanks. :)

Violet – If ever an election cried out for truffles and champagne it’s this one. I adore the name Obama Truffles and I hope you’ll be making them for two terms. ;) It’s still sinking in that he won.

Muse – W00t indeed! I understand about the shivers; I had them too. I’ve just been one big goosebump for the last 4 or 5 days. And I don’t mind admitting it. It’s been such a long campaign and a far longer time since a candidate inpsired me. Thank you for the kind words. Too kind.

sage – Thank you too, you sweetie, but you give me too much credit. The words are his, from last winter, and I’ve always liked the sentiment and the “we” aspect. Now it’s wheeeeeeeeee!

I was fine, awestruck really, until the speech was over and we were watching the shots of the Obamas and Bidens and that gorgeous crowd, all to that wonderful music. Then I lost it. I had to track down that song. I still haven’t seen the entire Powell clip; I’ll lose it when I do. I don’t even want to think how I’ll react the next time I hear Abraham, Martin and John.

Group hug and pass the hankies! :)

Ella Ella Ella we did it! We did it! Doing the Dance of Joy here! Thank you for this wonderful blog; I enjoy everything you write, even though I’m not the best cook, but then again, I watch exercise shows without rising from the couch too :0

Aren’t we so happy today? :) :):)

It certainly is happy dance time, Sunny my friend. Tomorrow is today!

(And the more we learn about Bible Spice, the happier I am that the majority of Americans voted the way it did.)

I exercise the same way sometimes. ;) Good to see you!
