I’ve mentioned before that she can hardly be taken seriously on the show when she allows herself to be called “eye candy” on Bravo’s’ website, which features her clothing and not any purported expertise with cooking. Apparently it wasn’t enough that she recently made a suggestive commercial for a fast food chain; can anyone imagine any of the male judges doing the same?
Her book of recipes published after Top Chef was on the air attracted quite a bit of attention, unlike the one published in 2000. The influential Library Journal said of that book at the time, “Most are standards, and the text, while well written, would seem to be of little interest to anyone other than supermodel groupies. Not a necessary purchase.”
But I’ll bet America will gobble up the new Allure.

Eeek! I saw this pic online, and since I don’t generally watch cooking shows (not since Julia, anyway) I thought she was a pop star or something. She doesn’t cook nude, does she?
