With their own words, the under-educated right-wing fringe extremists who call themselves Teabaggers proved my point. I denounced them yesterday in my commentary with the weekly cartoon for their willful ignorance, knee-jerk hatred and bigotry and especially for their appalling anti-Semitism in equating health care reform to the Holocaust. That had prompted Elie Wiesel, a Nobel laureate and Holocaust survivor, to say, “This kind of political hatred is indecent and disgusting.” And he’s right.
Americablog collected some of the teabaggers’ comments left at Politico, which had reported Wiesel’s statement, and here are a few. You’ll see that those misspelled signs at their rallies are typical of their overall inability to cope with the written language. I don’t understand the reference to Indonesia; Wiesel is an American citizen born in Romania. And one wingnut cruising in group-think hatred doesn’t even know Wiesel is a man. I suppose it’s to be expected if one’s cultural literacy ends at Ellie Mae Clampett.
The jews need to clam up and accept the fact that they are in a Chritian country.
This hollowcost thing is totally overblown by the jewish.
Eli Wiesel should just go back to Indonesia. I don’t see him condemnig the terrorist shooter at Fort Hood.
Elie is a whiner. She should stop her whining. You didn’t not complane when the libs were calling Bush Hitler.
These cretins, and their blind allegiance to Limbaugh, Beck and any other right-wing hatemonger with a microphone, simply sicken me.

Oh my,how incredible low brow and idiotic those comments sound!

Amazing, isn’t it? I’m not being snide when I call them, as a group, under-educated. There’s just no doubt. Their rules to live by apparently include Ignorance is Bliss.
What terrifies me is that these cretins breed, and probably have more than the average amount of children. I dread to think of the future of this country, run by illiterate, uneducated people.
Hi, Lechat. When I read their awful comments I couldn’t help but hope that all of their children marry Jews and convert.
They’re a significant factor in the small (about 26%) percentage of Americans who still hold a positive view of the Republican party. NY23 wasn’t a fluke, I don’t think.
